Delete your Beddy account
Effective July 25, 2026
Beddy (Android package app.getbeddy.beddy) is made by Steadfast Software LLC. This page explains how to delete your Beddy account and the data attached to it — from inside the app, or by email if you no longer have the app installed.
Delete inside the app
If Beddy is installed, this is the fastest route — it deletes your data directly, no request queue involved.
- Open Beddy.
- Tap the settings (gear) icon in the top corner.
- Scroll to the Account section.
- Tap Delete account — or Delete my data if you have never signed in and your streak lives only on this device.
- Confirm both warnings. The second one names what you're about to lose. There is no undo.
When the deletion succeeds, Beddy signs you out on this device and any session still open on your other devices stops working.
Request deletion without the app
You do not need Beddy installed, and you do not need to sign in anywhere, to have your account deleted.
- Send the email from the Google email address you use to sign in to Beddy. That address is how we match the request to your account.
- Say in the body that you want your Beddy account and data deleted.
- Never send us a password, a verification or two-factor code, payment card details, or a photo of an ID. We will never ask for any of those, and we cannot act on them.
- If we cannot match the sending address to a Beddy account, we will reply and ask — we will not delete someone else's account on a guess.
Data deleted
Deleting your account removes the records Beddy holds for you:
- your account identity — the account identifier from Google (or Apple on iOS) and the name or email we were given, plus the anonymous device identity that preceded sign-in;
- every graded day: letter grades, scores, subscores, Beddy's verdicts, and your grade history;
- streaks, freezes, overrides, and earned or equipped wardrobe items;
- your optional "Set your standard" reference photo;
- your in-app settings and account-level preferences stored on our server, and any pending grading-review records.
Your daily bed photos are not part of this, because they were never stored: each morning's photo is graded and discarded at the time of grading. Your Morning Lock app selection is never sent to our servers at all — it lives only on your phone, and it goes when you uninstall Beddy or revoke the permission in your phone's settings.
Data that may be retained
- Subscription and purchase records. If you ever subscribed, the purchase itself belongs to Google Play or the Apple App Store and is validated through RevenueCat. Those records — transaction and product identifiers, purchase and renewal dates, entitlement status — are held by those providers under their own policies and retained by us where needed for billing, accounting, tax, and refund or chargeback handling. Deleting your Beddy account does not cancel a subscription; cancel that in Google Play or the App Store.
- Abuse-prevention and security records. Rate-limit and spend counters are keyed to a date and to a hashed network or account key rather than to your profile, and server logs may reference an account identifier. These are kept for fraud prevention and to keep the service running, and are not used to rebuild a deleted profile.
- Aggregate counts. Statistics that count activity without identifying anyone are not restored to zero by a deletion.
- Records required by law. Anything we are legally required to keep, or must retain to resolve a dispute or enforce our terms.
Backups of our database roll over on the provider's own schedule, so a copy of a deleted row can survive briefly in a backup before it ages out. Backups are not used to serve the app.
Processing time
- In-app deletion removes your account data from our live database as part of the request — you will see it gone as soon as the app confirms.
- Email requests are handled by a person. We aim to complete them within 30 days of receiving a request we can match to an account, and usually much sooner.
- Backup copies and the retained records described above expire on the schedules named there rather than at the moment of deletion.
You do not need to delete your Google account
Beddy uses Google Sign-In only to identify your account. Deleting your Beddy account has no effect on your Google account, and you never have to delete or change your Google account to leave Beddy. If you'd also like to withdraw Beddy's sign-in access, you can remove it under Google Account → Security → Your connections to third-party apps. On iOS, the equivalent lives under Apple ID settings for Sign in with Apple.
